Would You Kindly Check Out BIOSHOCK: THE COLLECTION’s Launch Trailer?

It’s hard to get too excited about remastered games these days, but BioShock: The Collection is the exception. Packaging two of the best games from the last generation (the second one isn’t as spectacular), this collection is a great add to anyone’s video game library. To celebrate today’s launch of the remastered bundle, 2K has released a shiny new trailer. Buckle in, because we’re about to take another dive into the dark city of Rapture. Take a gander at the clip above.

If that doesn’t get you hyped, I don’t know what will. Just hearing Andrew Ryan’s voice again sends shivers down my spine. Despite the hate that remastered games get (sometimes rightfully so), there are very few titles that deserve this treatment as much the BioShock series does. Engrossing, eerie storytelling and memorable settings and characters are rarely married as masterfully as they are in this series.

“We’re immensely proud of the BioShock series, and we’ve taken great care in bringing these beloved games to the current generation of consoles,” said 2K president, Christoph Hartmann. “Whether you’ve experienced these critically acclaimed classics before or are new to the series, there’s never been a better time to play and immerse yourself in the rich worlds of Rapture and Columbia.”

BioShock: The Collection is available now on the PS4 and Xbox One (PC players will have to wait a couple of days to get it). It includes all three titles from last generation with upgraded graphics along with all of the DLC.

Let the nostalgia of the trailer fill your heart. Be on the lookout for our full review of the the bundle in the coming days. And in the meantime, here’s our preview.

Does the launch trailer convince you to shell out $59.99 for the collection? Which of the three BioShock titles is your favorite? Where do you rank the original BioShock on your list of greatest games ever created? And would you kindly drop a line in the comments section below?
