World’s Largest Arcade Cabinet Dwarfs Grown Men

No, I don’t know him personally. But armed with the information I have about Jason Camberis, an engineer and self-confessed arcade fanatic from Chicago, he seems like a pretty swell guy.

One day when Camberis was sitting around watching the latest gloomy current events filter through his TV, he thought, “I’m going to put something good in the world.” And then he got straight to work building Arcade Deluxe, a beautiful, fully functional 14.4-feet tall arcade game cabinet.

The arcade machine took Camberis two years to complete, but the result is a system that boasts over 200 classic games, including PacMan and Dragon Spirit. Um, can he make one for me?

It’s also stunning to look at, featuring giant controls and a 16-inch glass trackball to make you feel like you’re at an old-school arcade again. Oh, and this machine is so huge that a mini staircase pops out of the bottom, so you can climb up to the control pad!

Arcade Game

In case you were wondering, this did earn Camberis a place in the Guinness World Records. Explaining his reasoning for making it, he told them, “I wanted to bring joy and happiness to people, and my arcade machine certainly makes people smile. My wife wonders what I will do next but I already have a plan!”

I’m sure he does, and I’ll be on high alert for the next big thing. What do you think of Camberis’ arcade machine? Give it some love in the comments below.
