Wonder Woman hit theaters this weekend to rave reviews and fans enthusiasm. Among the many moviegoers high on the film were even Wonder Woman’s fellow superheroes: the stars of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Hulk, a.k.a. Mark Ruffalo, lauded the film for breaking box office records; Black Panther‘s Lupita Nyong’o went on a full-fangirl RAVE of the film; and Captain America himself–Chris Evans, that is–shared his praise for our favorite Themysciran’s first standalone film.
Of course, with all of the DC/Marvel crossover praise, the inevitable question of “which hero is stronger” was posed to Gal Gadot. Given Diana Prince’s unique heritage, Katie Couric thought to ask Gadot how Wonder Woman would fare in a fight against the Asgardian god, Thor. Mjolnir-given powers or not, it seemed like Gadot was pretty confident in Diana’s own powers and fighting prowess.

And while Thor may be a bit cocky at times, it looks like Chris Hemsworth knows when he’s outmatched. He quickly admitted that Wonder Woman would kick Thor’s ass, but Gal Gadot still suggested that the collision of the MCU and DCEU would be worth it.
I always knew you were a smart guy 🙂 But I think its worth a fight . we should collide worlds😏

And while the challenge is all in good fun, it’s worth noting that Wonder Woman is one of the lucky few DC characters deemed worthy enough to wield Thor’s hammer (and, by extension, Thor’s powers). Additionally, if we can learn anything from the way Diana handled herself in Wonder Woman, we know she can hold her own against foes with outrageous amounts of power. I think my money would definitely be on Diana, too.
What do you think? Would Wonder Woman beat Thor in a fight? Would you like to see the MCU and DCEU cross over? Tell us what you think in the comments!
