Later this year, Gal Gadot‘s Wonder Woman will return to the screen alongside her new teammates in the Justice League movie. And while Wonder Woman’s solo film largely stood alone among the DC Extended Universe, a newly released epilogue scene appears to set the stage for Justice League by reuniting Etta Candy with the surviving members of Diana and Steve’s team.
Yahoo! Movies debuted âEpilogue: Ettaâs Mission,â which features Lucy Davis reprising her role as Etta alongside Sameer (Saïd Taghmaoui), Charlie (Ewen Bremner), and Chief Nap (Eugene Brave Rock). As explained by Etta, the new mission is to recover an ancient artifact of immense power before it can fall into the wrong hands. And the implication is that the object is a Motherbox, a sentient supercomputer from New Genesis that will play a major role in the Justice League‘s story.
It’s still unclear when the Wonder Woman sequel will be set, and whether she will reunite with her friends from the first film. But perhaps this scene will let Etta, Sameer, Charlie, and Chief Napi to make at least a cameo appearance in Justice League. Either way, we don’t think that we’ve seen the last of them!
Wonder Woman will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on September 19.
