You’ve probably wondered what The Lord of the Rings films would have been like if Willie Nelson had been cast as Gandalf instead of Sir Ian McKellen, right? We all have. Well, it seems the Red Headed Stranger agrees and is angling to take over for the second Hobbit film and thanks to Team Coco, we are now able to see what he would bring to the role.
The answer, of course, is weed smoking. Or, more weed smoking to be precise. Willie Nelson has pretty impeccable comedy timing, even if he has trouble pronouncing some of the Tolkien words. Not bad for a fella who’s turning 80 tomorrow, eh?
