Fans of the wizarding world are in for a great treat, as J.K. Rowling and company have completely re-designed Pottermore, the digital home base for all things Harry Potter-related, with a slick new interface that focuses on a mobile-friendly experience for delivering updates and new writing from the author. The reboot arrived Tuesday morning, and with it came a detailed history of Harry Potter’s family lineage dating all the way back to the 12th century. Why go into the specifics of the Potter genealogy now? We’re hoping it may have something to do with the upcoming film Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them. The first update from the “Pottermore Correspondent,” the mysterious narrator who will now be publishing updates from the site, also confirms that the site will provide updates on the new stage play Harry Potter and The Cursed Child, which is currently set to premiere in London the summer of 2016.
