If you’re a big fan of the book… then no, Spielberg is not the man for the job.  He butchers novelists work.  If you don’t care about the source material, then he’s an awesome choice.

My two cents on flying car.  People can’t drive on roads correctly.  Why the hell would we want them in the air?

  2. Benny says:

Awesome! I just started listening to Wil wheaton read the audio book version of “Ready Payer One”. Really fun book. Then the news for the movie comes out. Very excited. Wil Wheaton has to be a part of this. He is referenced in the book and does a great job reading the audio book.

  3. Alex says:

I’m reading book now and I can’t believe it’s going to be a movie. It’s such a sorry Gary Stu story! I can’t believe anyone thinks this thing is good! Seriously?

  4. I like that Spielberg is doing it, I don’t like the fact that we may not see it for a loooooong time because Spielberg is so freakin’ busy. I mean I think he also has the rights to another most awesome book – Roboapocalypse and WHO KNOWS when we’ll see that film either….

  5. Sara says:

I dont think Spielberg is right for this movie, I’d rather seen Nolan or Gilliam direct this, somebody who has a heavy LOOK to their films.  That being said, I love the book and look forward to the Monty Python scene
