Why Nobody Can Pick Up Thor’s Hammer & Answers to Your Questions!

It’s time for the lightning round — literally!

In my latest Because Science, I’m taking questions sent in on Twitter. After a quick stop in quantum mechanics, we’re off and running with how mirages work, how all your atoms are recycled from the Big Bang, and the physics of Thor’s mighty hammer Mjolnir!

I’m planning on turning “Ask Kyle” into a monthly segment, so make sure to keep sending me your questions on Twitter @Sci_Phile!

Check out my last video on how Alan Turing broke the infamous Enigma machine, subscribe to this playlist to stay current with the show, and follow me on Twitter to barrage me with nerdiness!

  1. Hamzah al-Jundi says:

Man, Kyle is epic!! I knew the science of a mirage/marigi/mirages/miragee? But when he explains, its as though, i’ve never heard it before.

And an episode with Thor Odinson!!! Instant Uber Epicness!!

  2. Shannon says:

If the hammer were sitting on a table, and the hulk tried to lift it, when he let go, the table would shatter if it manipulated mass. Manipulating inertia might be a better guess.
