The promotional materials leading up to the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens have been doing a great job of getting us excited for the new film without giving too much away. While we’ve attempted to make plenty of assumptions, we still don’t know that much about the plot of the film, and there are more than a few mysteries surrounding charactersâlike tiny, spectacled alien Maz Kanata, Finn and Rey’s parentage, where the heck Luke Skywalker is, and of course, just who exactly is the villainous Supreme Leader Snoke?
A new interview with Andy Serkis, the actor portraying Snoke, gave us a few insights to the character who narrated the very first teaser from the long-awaited Episode 7 and now we’ve got questions. What we do know: he’s big. The actor stood on a 25-foot platform to act opposite Adam Driver and Domhnall Gleeson. And as one of the very few motion-captured characters in the mostly practical effects driven film, we don’t know what this creature from the dark side will look like, but we can’t wait to find out. Less than a month to go, my little padawans!
Join Jessica Chobot for a rundown of everything we know so far about Andy Serkis’s Supreme Leader Snoke and how his character might fit into the plot of The Force Awakens, on today’s Nerdist News.
