Worry not, lovers of magical, mystical superhero stories, the supernatural superhero team you know and love as Justice League: Dark are still going to be getting their own movie!
Although earlier this year Guillermo Del Toro had to step away from directing the project to focus on Pacific Rim 2, Latino Review is reporting that Warner Bros. are moving forward with the project anyway. Not only that, but the studio have their sights set on a big movie star to play John Constantine, the de facto leader of the supernatural superteam: Colin Farrell.
Hot on the heels of his role in J.K. Rowling’s Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, we think Farrell would be a great Constantine, but we are definitely going to miss the Constantine we all know and love, Keanu Reeves. Just kidding! We wouldn’t mind if all of the big beefy movie stars passed on the role so we would get to see more of Matt Ryan, the star of NBC’s ill-fated television version of Constantine. The rumor also includes details on who would play the other members of the team, and who the first villain might be.
Join Jessica Chobot for the more details on who else might be cast as the other supernatural superheroes in the Justice League: Dark film adaptation on today’s Nerdist News.
