Friday, April 22nd is the closing date for our current art show, “Magical Girls: Art Inspired by Shoujo Mangaâ€, so we decided to throw a party! This is your last chance to get a look at artwork by Bei Badgirl, Camilla d’errico, Junko Mizuno, Miss Kika, Yoko d’Holbachie, and Japanese collective Shibuya Girls Pop as they interpret their favorite shoujo characters. On top of celebrating the closing night of this amazing show, we’ll also be celebrating the birthday of Pretty Star Clothing designer Laura Brown! We’ve invited friends, fans, and art lovers to celebrate Laura’s birthday with magical art, tea and cookies, and a showcase of Pretty Star Clothing’s latest collection!
This event is FREE, and starts at 8pm!
Satuday, April 23rd, we are lucky to have the amazing Don’t Stop or We’ll Die at NerdMelt. After tearing up comedy stages all over LA, this piano-pop trio featuring Harris Wittels, Michael Cassady, and Paul Rust, is finally getting a night to themselves. Come watch them play a full concert that’s equal parts bad-ass and hilarious, with an opening act so big we can’t even mention her here. Seriously. Trust me, you won’t want to miss this show. Don’t Stop or We’ll Die will have their CD, One of the Gang, available for sale, and if you’re lucky one of the guys will sign your chest.

Sunday, April 24th it’s another installment of the very popular Adult Writers Seminar Series. Each week they bring in some of the best TV writers in existence to talk about writing, success, failure, and everything else. Then they take questions. This week, we’ve got Javi Grillo–Marxuach, Aaron Ginsburg and Wade McIntyre, and Dan Harmon!
