If I had one regret in life, it may be that I was born rather than animated in the style of Lisa Frank. Any child of the ’80s or ’90s remembers her vivid, whimsical pizzazz-imbued style. It transfixed the hearts, minds, and eyeballs of teenagers everywhere, transporting us to a veritable acid trip of visual interest. It didn’t matter if you were popular or goth, theater kid or mathlete: you were obsessed with Lisa Frank regardless of middle school social status.

Combining our teen witch obsession with tarot cards and the artistic methamphetamine of Lisa Frank, Hart has maybe-kinda-sorta broken the ladies here at Nerdist. Frankly (pun 1,000% intended), both Tarot and Lisa carry with them the divine weight of the future—one just happens to be all rainbow explosions and animal-based nincompoopery, while the other deals with the fates.
But don’t just take our word for it—see what happens for yourself (in our gallery below!) when the free-spirited Fool is portrayed by a bombastic popstar bear, or the conforming Hierophant is guarded by two chill puffins. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to get home because I am absolutely wallpapering my bedroom with these, buying a disco ball and strobe light in order to create the ’90s rave dance party of my dreams.
