I’m beginning to feel the wear and tear of Star Wars: The Force Awakens over exposure as much as the next person, but that draining effect of a thousand commercials and “exclusives” in every magazine can be completely wiped away every time I see my favorite droids in a new clip. I don’t know what it is about R2-D2, C-3PO and BB-8, but I love them? This new commercial from the UK company O2 really just continues to feed that love. Watch the whole thing.

No one yet knows why C-3POs arm is red now, but I’m hoping that they stick close to canon and he lost it in a lightsaber duel with his long lost father. What’s crazy is that I wrote that sentence as a joke, and then realized it would be TOTALLY true if he fought Vader because of the prequels! Obviously it’s not possible because Darth Vader is dead, but come on that’s a pretty rad idea, right? [Editor’s Note: What the hell are you talking about, Rachael?]
Crazy theories aside, this new commercial combines all the cuteness and sass that makes me love R2-D2 and BB-8 more and more everyday, and has me shaking my head at C-3PO’s obviously still present attitude and wit. It gives this Star Wars fan all the warm fuzzy feelings in an on- and off-line world over-saturated with advertising, product placement and countdowns.
