Watch Your Favorite Scientists Become Time-Traveling Superheroes

Let’s face facts. Learning about the universe, and how everything came to be, is an overwhelming task at the best of times. So, why don’t we take a break from that life-long activity, and imagine our favorite scientists as a band of time-traveling, nazi and zombie-battling superheroes lead by Winston Churchill?

Wait, the masterful artist Brett Jubinville and his team at Tinman Creative Studios are already on top of that, with their Kickstarter-funded adventure series, Super Science Friends.

Without further ado, I invite you to climb aboard the science mobile and let this wacky show take you back to WW2-era, where the brainiacs are tasked with investigating the widespread disappearance of apples. Warning: look out for the Hitler-bot!

The animation in this is surprisingly good (surprising only because when you think of science-y video’s, you tend to think: simple/dry animation), sort of resembling the style of Rick & Morty, and adopting their same whirlwind momentum.

Personally, my favorite character was the fourteen-year-old, endearingly wide-eyed clone of Albert Einstein who can travel at super-speeds because, duh, “time is relative.” Genius.

You might have to wait a while to see another episode of Super Science Friends, but in the meantime, check out Jubinville’s webcomic about Ada Lovelace. A new page is published every Monday, so set your calendar reminders to stick with the program.
