Watch Two New Clips from Tonight Episode of HELIX

If you’re a sci-fan fan and you haven’t checked out Ronald D. Moore’s (Battlestar Galactica) latest show, Helix, now is the time to catch up. The show follows a team of CDC doctors as they tackle catastrophic disease outbreaks and struggle to save mankind from total extinction. While the first season focused on the events at Arctic Biosystems in, you guessed it, the Arctic, Season Two sees the scientists take on an outbreak on a cruise ship — one that leads them to an island run by a charismatic cult leader seeking utopia. (BSG fans, if you think this sounds right up your alley, you are right.)

Similar to the format of real time show 24, each episode of Helix takes place over the course of a single day… but of course, a lot of spooky things can happen in one day. And while the mythology of the first season carries over into season two, the characters are in an all new time and environment. You can catch up on the first five episodes of season two on the SyFy channel website, and then take a peek at two exclusive clips from tonight’s new episode, “M. Domestica.”

On the heels of Agnes’ death, Amy creates an outbreak of the disease, while Michael torments Peter in the pit.  Alan, Jordan and Kyle discover the truth about the abbey’s tainted food chain but Alan is put under mind control. An uprising at the abbey threatens the safety of the uninfected. Meanwhile, in present-day Paris, Walker summons Balleseros and is guided to meet an unlikely immortal that may hold the key to her mission.

Helix airs Fridays at 9/10c on SyFy and stars Billy Campbell, Kyra Zagorsky, Matt Long, and Neil Napier Jordan Hayes, with guest star Steven Weber.
