Watch Tom DeLonge Nerd Out about His New Comic Book, Discuss Blink-182

I know Tom DeLonge, you know Tom DeLonge, we all know Tom DeLonge. But chances are we all think of Blink-182 or Angels & Airwaves when we hear the musician’s name. However, when the famous guitarist/singer took the stage at Nerdist Conival at San Deigo Comic-Con this year, he transformed into Tom DeLonge the visual artist, comic nerd, and director.

DeLonge found himself at Comic-Con this year to talk about his project Poet Anderson, which began as a comic book and has evolved gradually into a novel, film, and essentially a “small empire” as host Whitney Moore points out. The story chronicles the adventures of a lucid dreamer who meets a guardian angel figure in one of his unconscious moments. During the course of the interview DeLonge doffs his cap to major influences such as Star Wars, A Clockwork Orange, and Bladerunner, before diving deep into his interest in the act of lucid dreaming.

And at the end the conversation, Whitney responsibly asked what it would take for Blink-182 to get back together, to which DeLonge responded, “probably just a few phone calls.”

You can check out all things Poet Anderson right here, and be sure to check out the rest of the interviews from our Conival stage at Comic-Con.
