During the most recent episode of CW’s The Flash, we watched as the worlds of Barry Allen and Oliver Queen crossed more than they ever have before in the form of previous Arrow villain, The Clock King, making an appearance, as well as Barry’s reference to Oliver’s statement of him being “chosen†by the lightning strike that gave him his speed. But now, after weeks of waiting, the worlds of The Arrow and The Flash will combine in the way we’ve always hoped they would in an epic two-night event that will begin in the next episode of The Flash set to air this Tuesday. But, the best part? There’s finally a trailer. Check it out:
Oliver, Barry, meta-humans, exploding arrows, debates of who would win in a fight: check, check and double checkamundo.
This trailer is truly selling us on the idea of this being one of the biggest television events of the winter, and it’s a truly great way to send both shows into the holiday season. While it may seem like Oliver’s outmatched by Barry’s superpowers, if there’s one thing we’ve learned in the past, it’s that Oliver is nothing if not adaptable. So we have no doubt he’ll find a way to defeat Barry before he gets the best of him.
It may still be a few weeks before gift-giving begins, but The CW has really given fans the treat of a lifetime this year, and we couldn’t be happier about it.
