We’re Comic-Conning as hard as we can this week! Hard enough to catch a few juicy tidbits you might have missed whether you’re here at Nerd Prom in San Diego or not. Today’s Movie Morsels has the first-ever trailer for this Halloween’s Rocky Horror Picture Show live production, the latest on Jurassic World 2, a new clip from Trolls, and plenty more!
The Rocky Horror Picture Show
Come up to the lab and see what’s on the slab! Original Rocky Horror Picture show star Tim Curry is featured in the very first trailer for Fox Television’s live production of the beloved cult musical. Debuting on October 20, the new Rocky is directed by Kenny Ortega, and features Laverne Cox as Dr. Frank-N-Furter, Victoria Justice as Janet Weiss, Ryan McCartan as Brad Majors, Reeve Carney as Riff-Raff, Christina Milian as Magenta, Annaleigh Ashford as Columbia, Staz Nair as Rocky, Adam Lambert as Eddie, Ben Vereen as Dr. Everett von Scott, Ivy Levan as the Usherette, and Curry (this time around) as the Criminologist…

Jurassic World 2
Ladies and gentlemen, we now know when the sequel to last year’s mega-successful Jurassic World will begin production: February 27, 2017. And you can be damned sure that Bryce Dallas Howard won’t be forced to wear heels to the rodeo this time!
Trolls
Like many folks, when I first heard that Justin Timberlake would be featured in a Trolls movie, I expected, well, Katy Perry in Smurfs 2. But I’ll be a monkey’s uncle if the following first clip from the film, which bowed yesterday at Comic-Con, doesn’t look half bad!
Bad Monkeys
Margot Robbie, is there anything you can’t do? The Wolf of Wall Street/Suicide Squad/Legend of Tarzan actor is set to star in and produce Bad Monkeys, a film based on Matt Ruffâs 2008 novel of the same name, about a woman charged with murder who announces she’s part of “a secret organization devoted to fighting evil, [the] Department for the Final Disposition of Irredeemable Persons, a.k.a. Bad Monkeys.” Is she crazy? Regardless, it’s great to see Robbie taking as energetic a role behind the camera as she does in front of it.
For the Love of Spock
Finally today, we have the very lovely trailer for Adam Nimoy’s documentary about his late father, the legendary Leonard Nimoy. For the Love of Spock takes a look at the life of one of the most beloved pop culture icons of all time. Enjoy!
