Bob’s Burgers was one of our favorite TV comedies of 2014 for essentially being visual comfort food. And though we love the show for being totally irreverent yet wholesome and feel-good, we also love the show for its musical moments.

Thankfully those moments have often included ludicrous holiday tracks from the kings of somber indie rock, The National. After providing the Belchers with a decidedly morbid Thanksgiving track last year, the band have returned with an even more upsetting (“All the cold, hungry people…) song for Christmas, which is made even more absurd by virtue of the fact that they were animated as really cute, though fatigued-looking, ornaments hanging from the Belcher’s Christmas Tree.
