Watch the Latest Trailer for Danny Boyle’s STEVE JOBS Biopic

Even though the biopic Steve Jobs isn’t due to hit theaters until October 9, people are already raving about Michael Fassbender’s brilliant (and possibly Oscar worthy, if early buzz is to be believed) performance in the title role of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs. Above you can watch a new trailer for the film.

Directed by Danny Boyle (Slumdog Millionaire, 127 Hours, Trainspotting) and written by Aaron Sorkin (The West Wing, The Newsroom, The Social Network) the new film is set backstage in the minutes before three iconic product launches spanning Steve Jobs’ career—beginning with the Macintosh way back in 1984, and ending with the unveiling of the iMac in 1998—Steve Jobs takes us behind the scenes of the digital revolution to paint an intimate portrait of the brilliant and complicated man at its epicenter. The film is based on Walter Isaacson’s best-selling biography, and interviews conducted by writer Aaron Sorkin with various people in Job’s life.

Joining Fassbender in this stellar cast of actors are Seth Rogen as Steve Wozniak, Apple’s co-founder; Jeff Daniels as former Apple CEO John Sculley; and Kate Winslet as Joanna Hoffman, former marketing chief of Macintosh. Steve Jobs also stars Katherine Waterston as Chrisann Brennan, Jobs’ ex-girlfriend, and Michael Stuhlbarg as Andy Hertzfeld, one of the original members of the Apple Macintosh development team.

Steve Jobs will be the Centerpiece feature of the 53rd annual New York Film Festival on Saturday, October 3, before opening in New York and Los Angeles on October 9. It will then be released in North America nationwide in the U.S. on October 23, 2015.
