Later this week, we will all be volunteering as tribute to stuff our faces with overpriced popcorn for 123 minutes as we watch the beginning of the end of Katniss Everdeen’s epic saga in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1. Though most of us have to wait until Friday (or Thursday at midnight), the Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar in Austin, Texas is taking the fight to the Capitol a little bit early. Tonight, the theater will host an advanced screening of Mockingjay Part 1 followed by a special Q&A with director Francis Lawrence and producer Nina Jacobson moderated by our very own Caesar Flickerman, Editor-in-Chief Brian Walton.
Can’t make it down to the Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar? Relax — we’re going to drop a digital silver parachute into your life in the form of a livestream on the Nerdist Channel. At 9:30PM CT (7:30PM PT), you can watch the livestream from the comfort of your own home, eating all the finest Capitol-made delights your fridge has to offer, right here:
While winning the Hunger Games (twice) wasn’t exactly what Katniss thought it was going to be cracked up to be, we have a little something extra in the works for you guys. Behold a prize pack sweeter than a shirtless Finnick Odair with a sugarcube.
All kidding aside, one (1) lucky winner will receive the following:
– Mockingjay pin
– Katniss poster
– Gale – Rebel Warrior poster
– President Snow/Peeta/Johanna Capitol portrait
– District 13 handkerchief
– Mockingjay Part 1 soundtrack
– The Hunger Games and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire DVD combo pack
– $25 Fandango gift card
–Â The Hunger Games book series
–Â Mockingjay Part 1Â fleece blanket
–Â Mockingjay Part 1 keychain
