Watch the Foo Fighters Play a Surprise Concert in England Right Now

Well, it’s been a while since we hard from the good ol’ boys of Foo, but the Dave Grohl-led rock stalwart came roaring back today with news that the Foo Fighters will be headlining the UK’s premier summer festival Glastonbury. And shortly after the announcement, the band began live streaming their first concert in a while from the town of Frome in England. Noticeably absent, however, is Grohl’s broken leg throne, from which he had to perform for a significant leg (heh) of the Foo’s 2015 tour supporting Sonic Highways.

This past January, the band tweeted an image that suggested they were either recording new music in California, or were getting ready to play a few shows in May 2017 at the BottleRock Festival in Napa Valley. This happened shortly after Taylor Hawkins mentioned that the band may (or may not) be working on new material. Look, as long as they don’t pull another fake breakup again, we’re cool with any news coming out of the Foo Fighters’ camp in 2017. It feels like the world needs them again.

C’mon, Dave Grohl, you know what to do.

Matt Grosinger is the Music Editor for Nerdist and is more than ready for the new dawn of Grohl. You can talk to him about this and what the “Grohl Hole” is on Twitter. (Seriously, tweet at him about it.)
