Watch the Awesome Games Done Quick Charity Livestream Here

I know Christmas is already in our rearview mirror, but there’s never a bad time to give back.

The biannual video game marathon, Awesome Games Done Quick, is back once again. This charity event features volunteers speedrunning through classic games to raise money for charitable causes, and will go on for a whopping 7 days non-stop. Now that’s a whole lot of gaming. All of the proceeds will be going to the Prevent Cancer Foundation, whose goal is to (like the name implies) stop cancer before it starts. You can watch the livestream below.

There will be some rad prizes, such as a The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask-themed New Nintendo 3DS, given out throughout the stream, so it’s definitely worth joining the fun. You don’t need to donate for a chance at a prize–check out all the rules here.

Take a look at today’s shenanigans (all times are in PST):

You can check out the rest of the schedule, which includes the next 6 days, right here.

The schedule includes a good mix of titles, but the one game I’m really interested in watching skilled players take on is The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages.

As I mentioned above, this is biannual, so the second event will be taking place in the summer. Which of the games included in the event are you most interested in watching? Do you have any speedrunning tricks? Will you be donating to this great cause? Let us know in the comments below.
