Prepare your shovels for some action, because Telltale Games has decided to release a new trailer for Minecraft: Story Mode, and it’s all sorts of awesome. The short trailer gives us a look at the team who slayed the menace known as the Ender Dragon, the Order of the Stone. Featuring the Warrior, Redstone Engineer, Griefer, and Architect, this squad is legendary. Together, these four took down the incredibly powerful dragon. Watch the clip above to get the full effect.

Fans of Minecraft know that defeating the Ender Dragon is no joke and can definitely appreciate their feat. They sure aren’t squares in my book. Part of the story for the game has also been revealed. You and your friends will be attending Endercon in hopes of meeting Gabriel the Warrior. But, events quickly unravel, forcing you and your pals on an incredibly dangerous quest.

The first episode of five is set to release digitally on October 13 for PC, Mac, PS4, Xbox One, PS3, and Xbox 360. If you much rather have a physical copy, you’ll have to wait until October 27 when the season pass disc launches. Yes, season pass disc. The physical version will include the first episode and grant the user access to the next four as they become available digitally. Interesting approach.

Mojang and Telltale have also announced the “World’s Largest Let’s Play”, where fans will be able to attend so they can cheer and direct the action that is going on in the game. The event that will be held in the ArcLight Cinerama Dome in Hollywood, CA on October 12.  All you have to do is send an email to [email protected] to get a ticket. Best of all, it’s free.

I would have never guessed that a Minecraft story would make much sense, but everything we’ve seen so far has looked spectacular. Judging by Telltale’s recent track record, there’s no reason to doubt that the talented team over there will be able to shape an adventure worth experiencing.
