As the mother of three children, itâs very likely that Jennifer Garner has a lot of experience reading stories to her kids before bedtime. But we’d be willing to bet she hasnât read this very NSFW story to her children.
For her feature in the new issue of Vanity Fair, Garner recorded her version of the adult childrenâs book classic, Go The F**k To Sleep. The book was written by Adam Mansbach and illustrated by Ricardo Cortés in 2011, and it has a very funny way of expressing the exasperation of the narrator as he or she attempts to put their little ones down for the night while constantly using the word f**k for emphasis.
Garnerâs take on the story had a certain gentleness to it, but she didnât shy away from using all of the bookâs swear words. It was definitely amusing, and it stands on its own from Samuel L. Jacksonâs famous reading of the audio book verison of Go The F**k To Sleep. But just for comparisonâs sake, hereâs Jacksonâs version.
According to Garner, she and her estranged husband, Ben Affleck, are still on good terms. Recently, Garner even shared a story with Extra about the birthday party for their four year old son, Samuel, in which Affleck came in costume as Batman, As for Garner, she revisited her Elektra days by dressing up as a ninja.
