Watch James Spader Get Auto-Tuned in THE BLACKLIST… and There’s a Super Bowl Trailer!

It’s been a long while since The Blacklist concluded the first half of its sophomore season… a long while since last we watched the notorious James Spader rock a perfectly-shaped fedora while spitting some of the best dialogue this side of a Joss Whedon movie (wink, wink). However, that all changes next Sunday with the show’s glorious return following Super Bowl XLIX, and to get you ready, we have two Blacklist related items we have no doubt you’re going to love:

First up is this brand new behind the scenes trailer featuring a whole bunch of new footage from the two part episode, titled “Luther Braxton,” that features the one and only Ron Perlman playing villain to Spader with a script written and directed by The A-Team’s Joe Carnahan.

Now, that all looks like a ton of fun, but not nearly as much fun as what we have next.

Because NBC apparently knows us so well, they’ve contracted Steve Porter to create an all new Blacklist remix featuring, wait for it, an auto-tuned James Spader. Need we say more?

Well, we can pretty much die happy after seeing this… wait, no we can’t, Avenger: Age of Ultron hasn’t premiered yet. After that, then we can die happy. But, we’re not gonna lie, if Marvel wanted to hire Porter to put together an auto-tuned video of Ultron spouting scripted magic, we wouldn’t be against it one bit.

It definitely seems The Blacklist is setting the stage for a major return on Super Bowl Sunday, and that’s fine with us because, like we said, it’s been far too long.

The Blacklist airs Thursdays at 9/8c on NBC following the Super Bowl.

What do you think of auto-tuned James Spader? Let us know in the comments below.
