Watch Benedict Cumberbatch Prescribe DOCTOR STRANGE as a Cure for CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR

Man, you gotta hand it to the folks at Marvel. Whatever one thinks of the MCU, there is no denying that they know how to market the hell out of a film. Check out today’s top story and you’ll see what I mean. It features Benedict Cumberbatch poking fun at Captain America: Civil War while promoting this year’s other big Marvel movie, a little film he’s in called Doctor Strange. Also in today’s Movie Morsels, we’ve got the latest word from director James Wan on Aquaman, our very first look at Ocean’s Eight, and oh so much more…

Doctor Strange

The internet’s boyfriend is back with a vengeance. After spending some time exploring small roles in films like Zoolander 2 and Black Mass, and taking on the title role of Hamlet on the London stage, Benedict Cumberbatch is ready to resume his responsibilities as the number one crush of fangirls and fanboys everywhere. The actor’s Doctor Strange hits theaters next week, and the always playful Cumberbatch has partnered with Marvel for a fun new video in which he “diagnoses” the many injuries suffered by heroes and villains alike in Captain America: Civil War, before cleverly directing our attention to his own Marvel Studios epic…

Aquaman

At the risk of encouraging remarks like “James Wan makes a splash,” the Furious 7 director seems to know exactly what he’s doing thus far in regards to the first-ever Aquaman movie. Speaking with Bustle about the film’s two leads, Jason Momoa and Amber Heard (a.k.a. Arthur Curry and Mera), Wan describes Aquaman‘s central romance as a hybrid of Raiders of the Lost Ark and Romancing the Stone, with the same love-hate sexual tension.

“I really want to get the classic action-adventure-romance aspect through that, and I think that’s kind of fun,” says Wan. “It starts off initially with them not quite clicking with each other. But then as the story progresses, as they learn to try and work together, they get closer and closer. I think those stories are always such a great place for a filmmaker like myself to have fun with my actors… I think that dynamic will be really interesting between the two. Amber’s character is super strong, she’s very powerful as well. You don’t wanna mess with her. I think Amber will bring that sense of strength, but at the same time, we also want someone who has a sort of feminine quality to her as well. She’s a bit of a contrast to Momoa, who’s more of a muscular machine almost.”

From Dusk Till Dawn

Love it or hate it, Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez’s ’90s vampire film fave From Dusk Till Dawn, yes, the same From Dusk Till Dawn of which Rodriguez’s own ongoing El Rey TV series is a continuation, is returning to theaters in just a couple of weeks. On Sunday, November 6, at 6:00 and 9:00 p.m., and on Wednesday, November 9, at 2:00 and 7:00 p.m., it will be released by Fathom Events, complete with a special 20th anniversary Q&A with the filmmakers. To help get you pumped, Tarantino and Rodriguez have launched a new anniversary trailer, for which they’ve recorded a special introduction, that you can watch below. Personally, I’d love to see them go back and replace all of the film’s ’90s-era CG with practical effects and replace Tarantino’s entire performance with, say, that of a ’90s era Jon Turturro or Robert Downey Jr. But hey, I guess you can’t have everything…

Ocean’s Eight

Good God does Cate Blanchett ever look awesome in the first photos from the set of Ocean’s Eight. Wearing an electric green suit like a boss, the Austrlian actress can be seen shooting several scenes with co-star Sandra Bullock; scenes in which their characters are no doubt discussing the heist they’ll cleverly attempt in this gender-swapped reboot of the Ocean’s franchise…

Man Down

Finally today… If you can’t get enough Shia LaBeouf in your life, well, happy Halloween, folks! Because we’ve got the teaser trailer for the polarizing actor’s Man Down, a psychological thriller in which the Beef plays a Marine vet searching for his missing wife (played by Kate Mara) and son after he returns from Afghanistan. Jai Courtney and Gary Oldman lend support… Well, at least it’s not Transformers: The Last Knight, right?!
