WATCH: Alternate Ending, Deleted Scenes from Fede Alvarez’s EVIL DEAD

As movie fans, we’re all used to multiple versions of a film being released. The Director’s Cut, The Version You Never Saw, The Unrated Extended Version and so on. Fede Alvarez’s Evil Dead was released in theaters in 2013 and while Alavarez maintained that the version you saw in the cinema was his definitive version of the film, during a recent showing on television in the UK, fans noticed that there were several variations to the theatrical release including extended scenes and an alternate ending.

Below are the clips and the alternate ending together edited together in a string out with title cards as well as the clips individually with a little more context shot by viewers directly from their TV during the UK broadcast. While the quality isn’t great on the individual clips, it’s kind of neat to see where they all fit in to the original cut.

Have a look at the videos below!

What do you think, fans? Do you like the little additions to the film that we saw in theaters? How about the ending? I like the theatrical ending better but it is kind of interesting to see an alternate version emerge a few years later.

For more Evil Dead, keep your eyes peeled for Ash vs. Evil Dead from Sam and Ivan Raimi, Rob Tapert and starring Bruce Campbell coming to Starz later this year.

YES! I have been waiting for the additional scenes since I heard that the film was going to be edited down from an NC-17 rating. Now if they would just release an original cut on Blu-Ray.
