While we may be critical at times, itâs only because we want to love the Jim Gordon origin story/Batman prequel that is Foxâs Gotham. Since September weâve talked about the ways in which the series succeeds and falters, but now itâs time for the show to go out with a bang with the mid-season finale airing tonight. During the episode, itâs a cat and mouse game for a world of assassins that are on the hunt for Selina Kyle, and needless to say, all hell breaks loose in the city of underworld criminals. Want proof? Check out these four new clips:
There are few better forms of Alfred than an Alfred that kicks major butt, right? Seriously, dudeâs got skill thatâs not to be f—ed with!
Recently, Gotham was ordered to a full 22-episode season, so we hope the writing team uses the time-off to iron out the kinks in order to return strong in the spring. They have a cast thatâs fantastic and a world thatâs starting to grow into something highly intriguing. What they need now is a great story arc to tie it all together. What will that story be? Thatâs all speculation, but we do know itâs got to be something worthy of the Batman universe.
Gotham airs Mondays at 8/7c on Fox.

I thought the Penguin was the best thing about the show, but mini Bruce/Selina and butt kicking Alfred are throwing down.
