By now, Bitchies Awards MC Aaron Paul has cemented himself as one of the most compelling actors on TV, and his turn as Jesse Pinkman on AMC’s Breaking Bad has been nothing short of astonishing. But how did he get the job? Rapture Productions recently put part of Paul’s audition video up online for your viewing pleasure. It’s an interesting look back at the seed that would grow into the complex morass of tangled allegiances and moral tightrope-walking that makes up the Jesse Pinkman we know and love today.

I feel like he has only gotten better since the show started. He has grown with that character, and I’m sure someone else could say the lines in an entertaining way but he’s a big part of what makes the writing for Jesse Pinkman work so well.
