Die Hard might feel like it’s fast-paced, but it’s not as quick as this one-minute speed run. YouTube user 1A4STUDIO has created several short animated versions of films over the past year, and the results are always entertaining. To make the treatment work on Die Hard, they’ve taken some liberties with the shapes of the characters, but it is fancier than stick figures. Regrettably, the speed run take also means losing crucial lines like “Yippee ki-yay, motherf**ker!” That’s sad, but the finished animation still captures the gist of the action film.

If anything, the animated overview reinforces how much of a badass John McClane is. He throws bodies off the Nakatomi Plaza building left and right, runs up and down an impressive number stairs, and in the end, he gets the girl. Because that’s how Bruce Willis rolls.
