Watch a MISS PEREGRINE’S HOME FOR PECULIAR CHILDREN Behind-the-Scenes Featurette

While plenty of upcoming high-profile films offered previews at last weekend’s Comic-Con, one film that wasn’t present was Tim Burton’s Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. Fortunately, a new video look at the fantasy epic has just appeared online, and we’ve got it for you in today’s Movie Morsels, alongside the latest on Transformers: The Last Knight, Fast 8, and much more!

Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children

You gotta hand it to Tim Burton. No matter how many Alice in Wonderlands or Dark Shadows he makes, his films look so good—at least in their trailers—that most of us just keep coming back for more (even if we know in our heart of hearts that we’re not gonna get another Beetlejuice or Ed Wood). His next effort, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, is no exception; as can be seen in the following featurette…

Based on the bestselling novel series by Ransom Riggs, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children features Eva Green, Samuel L. Jackson, and Asa Butterfield, and arrives in theaters on September 30.

Transformers: The Last Knight

Michael Bay really wants us to know how hard he’s working on his next Transformers movie, The Last Knight. The director has released more behind-the-scenes videos of himself shooting on the film’s set than I can recall him doing on any of his past efforts. Two new such videos have just arrived on the film’s Facebook page, and if nothing else they have me wishing I could wear desert attire as well as Bay does…

Bay also tweeted a photo of the latest Transformer to join the ranks of the Decepticons: Onslaught…

Hey, speaking of action directors releasing behind-the-scenes videos… F. Gary Gray is officially at the halfway point on production of the next Fast & Furious movie, and he’s celebrating the occasion in the latest installment of his weekly Fast 8 vlog, featuring franchise star Vin Diesel…

Co-starring Michelle Rodriguez, Dwayne Johnson, Tyrese Gibson, Chris Bridges, Lucas Black, Kurt Russell and Jason Statham, Helen Mirren, and Charlize theron, Fast 8 revs its engines on April 14.

Hands of Stone

Want another video? Okay, how about the first clip from The Weinstein Company’s Hands of Stone? Based on the book of the same name by Christian Giudice, the film chronicles the life of Panamanian boxing champion Roberto Durán, played by Edgar Ramirez…

Robert De Niro, Usher, Ruben Blades, Ellen Barkin, Ana de Armas, Oscar Jaenada, and John Turturro round out the cast of writer-director Jonathan Jakubowicz’s August 26 release.

Floyd Norman: An Animated Life

Last but not least today, we have the trailer for the acclaimed new documentary Floyd Norman: An Animated Life. The film’s subject was the first black animator to work for Walt Disney, and contributed to such feature-film favorites as The Jungle Book and Sleeping Beauty. Now 81, Norman continues to work for Disney, mentoring young animators and artists…
