Watch a Deadly Game of Chess in ASSASSIN’S CREED: CHECKMATE

While hearing an Assassin speak his mind is nothing new to Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed franchise, we get a look inside the Sherlock Holmesian inner monologue of Edward Kenway as he debates the best course of action for stopping pirates from harassing and robbing a buxom barwench in the time it takes for a bottle of wine to fall from the table to the floor in Assassin’s Creed: Checkmate. This Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag fan film from Machinima Prime and writer/director Joe Miale, AC: Checkmate, makes a good case for what a live-action Assassin’s Creed movie could look like, although I’d hope for a little less nervous deodorant commercial voiceover if it were to come to the silver screen. In any event, this ought to tide over your Templar-hating, seafaring adventure appetite until Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag drops on October 29th.

What do you think of Machinima Prime’s Assassin’s Creed: Checkmate? Are you excited for the new game? Let us know in the comments below.
