Politicians from across the entire political spectrum have their suggestions and ideas on how to fix what ails this great nation. But sometimes all we really need—more than new laws or elected officials—is a great comedian with a silly impression to make us laugh. So who better to do that than a man who, long before anyone was telling us we need to make this country great again, was yelling, “Hooray for America!” That’s right, David Cross 2016!

In this exclusive clip from Cross’s new stand-up special, “Making America Great Again!” the comedian takes a break from turning the country around to give us a peak at what the future holds for all of us, and it is even better and brighter than we might have hoped. The good news is that not only is Matthew McConaughey still alive and acting, he is also still winning Oscars and giving memorable speeches.

The one-hour Netflix special, filmed in Austin at the Moontower Comedy Festival earlier this year, is his first original stand-up special for the streaming service, but this is not his first original content for Netflix. He and Bob Odenkirk reunited the Mr. Show gang for the Netflix sketch comedy show With Bob and David last November. In the new special, Cross “leaves no political stone unturned and takes on today’s hot-button issues, including gun control, immigration, and, of course, shares his thoughts on Donald Trump.”

You won’t have to wait until November to find out about the country’s future, because “Making America Great Again!” will be available on Netflix this Friday, August 5.
