Before Guardians of the Galaxy came out, we all expected to be walking away in love with the cuddly, yet totally badass talking raccoon that was Rocket. However, by the film’s end (and thanks to some slick dance moves), the entire globe stood in one voice and said “I AM Groot.” Yes, Groot has been the takeaway of Guardians. A character loved by all and hated by none (except monsters), the talking tree is the breakout star of the franchise. Recently, we showed you a way to translate every website you read into Groot-speak, but now the internet has takes things to a whole new level thanks to Twilio employee Ricky Robinett.

Being the avid Groot fan that he is, Robinett wanted to develop a way to speak to Groot directly, and that he did thanks to a new SMS bot that will respond to anything you send it with the phrase “I am Groot.” All you have to do to take advantage of this great new advancement in conversation is text the number (866) 740-4531.

Considering Guardians of the Galaxy is currently the number one film at the domestic box office with over $300 million dollars in ticket sales (FYI, #2 is Captain America: The Winter Soldier), it’s no surprise people everywhere are looking for ways to express their love for the eccentric gang of space thieves. Though it may be a while before we see Groot and the rest of the team on screen again officially, we have no doubt this won’t be the last we hear of crazy fandom for Marvel’s latest in the coming years.
