Voice Actor All-Stars Read The “Star Wars Trilogy”

Here’s Billy West, Tara Strong, Maurice LaMarche, John DiMaggio, Kevin Conroy, Jess Harnell and Rob Paulsen reading the Star Wars Trilogy as a radio play at Emerald City Comic Con this year, using their own character voices. Pinky the Stormtrooper! Shatner C-3PO with R2-D2 Walken! Really, what else can anyone add to that? Can we suspend the moratorium on the use of the word awesome so we can call this awesome, which it is?

You’ll need to clear out an hour to watch it all. You’ll want to.

HT: Brian Walton at Nerdist News, who alerted me to this and made me ask myself “HOW DID I MISS THIS?!?”

  12. Curtis says:

I was really waiting for the Timmy Turner “Uhh… Internet?” but alas no such luck. Although I totally lost it at Zoidberg.

  13. Jake says:

John’s impression of Tracy Morgan was totally spot-on! It’s like he took that voice behind a middle school and got it pregnant!

  14. When John DiMaggio did Paul Lynde I lost it, fucking hilarious!

  15. I needed that after being in SQL/PHP hell all day. Damn funny.

  16. Robert says:

Sorry. This is a version based on “The Wizard of Oz”. Awesome!

  17. Robert says:

There’s a second version doing different voices but same people. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sVWxGSRRKnE

  18. Tobor the Great says:

My nerd boner is so hard right now.

  19. Johnny Q Public says:

You should check out the Emerald City Comicon YouTube page. There is another video up with the same group doing a 1 hour panel featuring multi-character readings of The Wizard of Oz, Silence of the Lambs, and The Princess Bride!

  20. amysrevenge says:

I am seriously losing my shit – about 40 minutes in.

  21. Brad says:

oops. maah bad. i wasn’t aware they were playing multiple scenes with different characters. DOH. *facepalm*

  22. It’s both. Characters in the “play” get different treatment in the course of the story. Batman as narrator is the constant.

  23. Brad says:

hey Perry, I think Rob Paulsen is doing C3PO as George Takei, not Shatner.

  24. Lisa Raymond says:

This is seriously epic…. and I haven’t even watched it yet!
