Victor Stone Meets His Female Counterpart in CYBORG #6 (Exclusive Preview)

While not every character got a boost from DC Comics’ New 52 relaunch a few years back, one character whose profile definitely went up was Cyborg. Originally, Victor Stone was created by writer Marv Wolfman and artist George Perez to be a member of the New Teen Titans back in the early ’80s, but as his popularity grew, so did his overall importance to the DC Universe.

When Geoff Johns and Jim Lee rebooted the Justice League for the New 52, they had Victor replace the Martian Manhunter as a founding member and cornerstone of the team. Since then, he has proved irreplaceable to the League. When the Justice League movie comes out next year, Cyborg will be front and center, played by actor Ray Fisher.

With the advent of DC Rebirth this year, the publisher finally saw fit to give Victor Stone his own ongoing comic book series, and I must say, after 30 years, it’s about darn time. Written by John Semper Jr., and illustrated by Will Conrad, the latest issue of Cyborg finds Victor Stone complicit in the creation of a female version of himself. But is creating a “Bride of Cyborg” the right thing to do? Find out in next week’s issue!

You can check out our exclusive preview of the first five pages of Cyborg #6 in our gallery below.
