Vegas Ain’t Gotham City

You see a lot of zany junk on the Las Vegas strip — even in broad daylight — but this may indeed take the cake. A dude dressed up as Batman (and kinda cut, if we’re being honest) jaws with a guy. They eventually fight. Batman does not win. In fact, he gets a nasty suplex in the process:

Highlight might be around the :53 mark, when some lady yells, “Oh, he ain’t saving the world now!”

  1. John says:

Does anyone else think this looks very fake? I mean, they fight like children. Batman didn’t even try to look like he’s actually fighting, he just mockingly waved his hands. The other guy for some reason kept slapping him without aiming or any weight behind his hits. And then they pulled a choreographed throw to top it all of. It’s like that live action theatre Americans call “wrestling”.

  2. Magnoliafan says:

It maybe a lot of things but great isn’t one of them.

  3. Tim says:

Yeah, this was great. But think about how INFINITELY more great if Batman just destroyed that dude. Like, Bat-cabled him out of a Tokyo tower or something.

That would never stop being viral.

  4. Smonkey says:

In the comments on youtube BatMaxo86 is the Batman in the video.

  5. Meh says:

Yeah, I agree, he lost me at “suck my dick”…

Also, I appreciate the fact that a guy named BigDickJones anonymously posts about the falseness of a Batman costume on a blog. Awesome.

Also, just found this podcast not 3 days ago and man, apparently this place has high standards for content. Impressive.

  6. LesserBeing says:

As much as I think it should the be the guy from confessions of a superhero, the movie is based on the people outside the chinese theatre in LA so its doubtful. All will fear the newest super villain “pop collar douche”

  7. Hurricane Ditka says:

    Why is this on here?
If I wanted to see trash fight I would turn on a daytime talk show

  8. Austin says:

I think the first commenter is right. This looks like the guy from that documentary, “Confessions of a Superhero.” If it is in fact him, that guy had it coming. If you watch the documentary you can see that he’s a little cracked in the head–there’s one point where he talks about killing people in “the old days” to psychiatrist. The shrink then asks if he is in fact confessing to murder, because he would need to report that, and then Batman back pedals and is all “I just made sure they weren’t heard from again.”

I got the feeling he was like one of those kids in school that told everyone he’d made it with a girl or stole something from a store to seem tough, but in reality he went home and cried into a pillow. Watch the documentary, it’s really sad/interesting.

  9. Scully says:

Batman is everywhere this week…How about the rooftop Batman arrested in Petoskey Michigan

  10. wayno says:

I thought Batman was about to get the Bane backbreaker. Although,
it was pretty funny to hear the someone say “batman’s trippin'”

  11. Michael says:

Batman, first, beat-up in Vegas. Now he was arrested in Petoskey.

    No seriously…he was arrested yesterday.

Apparently someone thought it funny enough to start a following for him…

Seriously. This is the least likely place to need a Batman.

  12. Anthony Rodriguez says:

Damn. I was like a mile away working at the time. Fudge!

  13. Magnoliafan says:

Why post this? It’s just depressing.

  14. Mister J says:

Polo-shirted friend, I thank you for bringing the reign of fake Batman to an end. It surely must have taken a lot of courage, to stand up to a giant like him. I thank you for inspiring other polo-shirted douchebags out there to stand up to their oppressors, be proud and pop their collars high. I want you to know this: you were not the only one Batman forced to suck his testicles dry. I too, like many others, have experienced this fate and succumbed to it. Like so many others before me, I reduced Bats’ urethra to a vacuum, as he had commanded. I have spent my life in a rehabilitation center ever since. But you, you faced danger and punched its spandex-enveloped ass to the ground. You broke through its tough rubber-foam armor and gutted him like you did your wife 2 years ago. The boys in the ward were all cheers when you finally gave it to him. We want you to know how much we appreciate this. We love you.

(Our hero’s emotional recounting of the event seen in this interview: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fgTkN_dBywU&).

  15. Livius says:

I feel like I’m being stalked by Nerdist O.o
Half of the things posted this week are things I saw just a day earlier.
I saw this a few days ago while waiting for class to end, now its on here.

Lol at Batman flailing his hands, then getting dropped.

  16. scrufy1 says:

anyone sayin that was sad or whatever, QQ the guy coulda walked away instead of screamin “suck my ****” i would have fought him for that too.

    and that was hilarious

  17. Clay says:

There are so many levels of sad here. The crazy street person dressed as Batman getting laughed at and beat on. The grown man who has so much so much bullshit machismo that he thinks beating up homeless Batman is cool. The crowd of people watching the events unfold and cheering like its some weird version of the AND1 mixtape tour.

Nerdist, I thought you were supposed to make me feel better not worse.

  18. Ccret says:

. . .after all this time, we find that Robin was the real muscle behind the dynamic duo.

  19. Eric says:

nothing like a guy dressing up like a superhero and fighting like a girl who hasnt ever fought, das good stuff

  20. Wade says:

I don’t know. Once Batman told that guy to suck his motherfucking dick, I found it hard to sympathize with him.

  21. Dave says:

I’m sure this video is supposed to be “hi-larious”, but I just feel sorry for the poor guy. Kinda depressing if you ask me… like watching a school kid get bullied. *shrug*

  22. Chris says:

I think this is the same guy who’s exposed in the documentary “Confessions of a Superhero”. It’s about the people who dress up like Superhero’s and pose for pictures in exchange for tips. Kinda sad film if I remember. But if this is the same guy, he has a long record of losing his temper and getting into fights there.
