‘Uptown Funk ft. Stewie & Peter Griffin’

What do you get when you combine Mark Ronson’s chart topping hit “Uptown Funk ft. Bruno Mars” with characters from Family Guy, American Dad, and King of the Hill? Why you get an earworm powerful enough burrow its way so deep down into your musical grey matter that it, if you’re anything like us, will have you singing along in your best attempt at a Stewie Griffin voice!

Showing off his impressive range, YouTuber Mikey Bolts brings us a version featuring spot-on impressions of Family Guy characters Stewie, Peter, Joe, Herbert the Pervert, Bruce, Neil Goldman, and a little bit of Quagmire thrown in for good measure. Roger and Director Bullock from American Dad  join the fun as well as Hank from King of the Hill.

While there is certainly no shortage of impressions on YouTube, Bolts’ video is a refreshing and welcome change. Listening to this version one can only wish it were something Seth MacFarlane and the Family Guy folks would animate and put into an episode. There’s something about the idea of Stewie Griffin dancing like Bruno Mars that just seems like it should already be a thing.

What do you think of Mikey Bolts’ cartoon voices? Who would you like to have heard him singing Ronson’s hit? Does Hank Hill have propane-fueled ulterior motives in making “a dragon want to retire”? Should I never be allowed to write again after that propane pun? Let us know in the comments.
