Upcoming DOOM Reboot Gets May Release Date and New Trailer

Everyone needs to go on a Demon-killing excursion from time to time. Bethesda is ready to send those seeking just that on a hellish vacation when Doom releases worldwide on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on May 13. The game will bring back many of the series’ classic mechanics, but with the polish of a modern day first-person shooter. It also will scare the living hell out of you, just like the original game did back in the day. But don’t take my word for it—check out the game’s most recent trailer at the top of the page.

Bethesda also revealed pre-order bonuses and a collector’s edition for the game as well. For the collector’s edition, which will run you $119, Bethesda teamed up with the replica extraordinaire brand Triforce to concoct a 12″ tall statue of the Revenant–one of the franchises most iconic beasts. Pre-ordering the collector’s or standard edition will score players the Demon Multiplayer Pack, which consists of a special demon armor set with three skin variations, six metallic paint colors, three id Software logo patterns that can be added to weapons and armor, as well as a set of six Hack Modules—one-time consumable items that can serve as boosters during multiplayer matches.

Are you excited about the Doom reboot? Will anything erase the nightmare of that awful Doom movie from 2005? Blast your thoughts into the comments below.
