Itâs time to go Back to the Future!
Universal Pictures has announced that the Back to the Future trilogy is getting a new release on Blu-ray and DVD on October 21 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the original film. And to entice fans to buy the trilogy once again, Universal is pulling out all of the stops.
The 30th Anniversary set is coming with a new bonus disc with two hours of original content that includes Christopher Lloyd reprising his iconic role in series of shorts entitled âDoc Brown Saves the World!â
Other special features on the new Back to the Future set include:

- Looking Back to the Future: A 9-part retrospective documentary from 2009 on the trilogyâs legacy.
- Back to the Future: The Animated Series: 2 episodes (âBrothersâ and âMac the Blackâ) from the 1991 series featuring live action segments with Christopher Lloyd as Doc Brown.

- The Physics of Back to the Future
- Deleted Scenes
- Michael J. Fox Q&A
- Eight Archival Featurettes
- Behind the Scenes Footage

But the hardcore Back to the Future fans should probably hold out for the Back to the Future: The Complete Adventures set. That comes with everything listed above packaged in an awesome Flux Capacitor replica (that even lights up!) and  a 64-page Back to the Future book. The Complete Adventures also comes with the entire Back to the Future 1991 animated series on DVD for the first time ever.
