Underground Music

Someone created a web page that shows the New York subway system as, well, musical art. It’s hard to describe, but I’ll try: On a stark white or black background, dots, starting from when you come to the page and then accelerating through the actual subway schedule at time-lapse speed, trace the subway lines, creating music as they cross each other, as if guitar strings are being plucked. The piece, Conductor, by Alexander Chen, essentially turns the subway system into a string instrument.  All I know is that it’s mesmerizing.
