UNCHARTED 4 Delayed Again

If you’ve been counting the days until Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End‘s release, I have some bad news for you. You’re going to have to wait even longer because the game has been delayed again. Naughty Dog took to the PlayStation Blog earlier this morning with the disappointing news. According to their post, we won’t be getting our hands on the final entry in the Uncharted series until April 26, 2016, which is a whole month after the previously announced March 18th release date.

“Pushing the date is not an easy choice, and we wouldn’t do it if we didn’t feel in our hearts it’s the best course of action for the game,” explained Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley. “To you, our loyal fans, we hope you’ll accept our sincere apology. We know many of you have been waiting patiently for Nathan Drake’s final chapter, and now we humbly ask you to wait a bit longer.”

This of course isn’t the first time the launch has been pushed back. Earlier this year, the developer made a similar announcement when they revealed that the game wouldn’t be hitting the 2015 release date it was originally slated for. Much like the first delay, the developers chocked up the latest one to adding more polish to “several key sequences.”

After they teased Nate’s death in the trailer they released the other day, and dropped the exciting announcement about the new dialogue option feature during the PlayStation Experience a couple of weeks ago, we’re okay with the delay because 1) it’s not pushed back that far, and 2) it means we’ll be getting the best experience possible. If there’s any developer I’d trust with taking more time to perfect their game, it’s Naughty Dog.

Plus, it gives us a bit more time to process our feels about saying goodbye to our favorite snarky adventurer.

How do you feel about the delay? What are you going to do to pass the time? Let us know in the comments!
