Ubisoft Flashes Forward to the End in THE DIVISION Cinematic Trailer

It looks like Ubisoft is borrowing a page from the Gears of War and Dead Island playbooks with this moody, piano-tinged trailer for The Division. While the co-op open world shooter has drifted into 2015, the publisher also brought along five minutes of gameplay to whet your appetite.

From the publisher:

“Tragedy has come to New York City. It’s hard to see something you love destroy itself and fall apart. But someone needs to be there to pick it up, to push back. Your purpose lies amongst all of this pain. You will have to fight, to save, to put it all back together. You are the hope of New York City.

Witness the beginning of the devastating outbreak that brought New York to ruin. Things look bleak, but we haven’t lost yet. There’s still time to protect those that remain and bring order to a destroyed world.”

This is, hands down, the game that I’m most excited for when looking to 2015. I’m a believer in Ubisoft, and fan of Watch_Dogs (not perfect, but a great game, nonetheless). Between Assassin’s Creed: Unity, FarCry 4, and The Division, Ubisoft is poised to be the next EA (hopefully, without the near-universal backlash as EA releases games that aren’t even finished).

    Can’t wait to PUSH BACK.
