Tyrion is Alive (For Now) in 2 Actual Seconds of New GAME OF THRONES Footage

♪♬ It’s my Dink in a box! ♪♬

The new footage from season five of Game of Thrones is slowly trickling out. Emphasis on the s-l-o-w part, considering HBO has taken to giving us a literal two seconds — that’s not even hyperbole, we counted — of brand spankin’ new footage from the forthcoming installment of epic fantasy battle-business. In fact it’s so short we’re not even going to give you a spoiler warning. Because honestly there are zero ways in which these footage spoils anything for anyone at all. Real talk.

After all, Peter Dinklage is a star of this show, and all this glorified blip shows is merely what we all assumed: Tyrion is alive — at least for now. (This is Game of Thrones after all, meaning anything could change at a moment’s notice. And more likely than not, one of your favorites will die. But also, like, Tyrion’s the actual best, so, even we — the most skepticalist — can’t imagine George R.R. Martin or the series’ co-creators D.B. Weiss and David Benioff killing him quuuuuiiiiite yet.) Hidden at the tail end of a promo for the series’ upcoming IMAX screenings of the last two episodes of season four, it gives us nothing of value on the insight front, but that doesn’t make it any less fun to see.

So there you have it — the tiniest of updates on the man last seen being stowed away by Varys in a box. Sorry, we’re going to have to say it again: ♪♬ It’s my Dink in a box! ♪♬ In all his unwashed, daddy-killing glory.

There’s also a new teaser for the behind-the-scenes featurette we wrote about on Monday, so check that out, too, if you like impressive, Westeros-related things!
