Two New Deleted Scenes from FROZEN

Frozen has shaped up to be one of Disney’s biggest hits in years. Since its premiere last November, the smash animated musical has racked up a Golden Globe, a BAFTA, two Critics Choice Awards, and five Annie Awards; has been nominated at the Academy Awards for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song; and has even released its own singalong in theaters. In anticipation of Frozen‘s official HD Digital and Blu-Ray releases, Disney Insider has released a few deleted scenes for fans to enjoy.

Animation nerds will enjoy the rough animation sketches of the characters in development. One clip shows the scene that would have been when Anna (Kristen Bell) and Kristof (Jonathan Groff) first meet. Check it out here:

In the second clip, Frozen directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee introduce one of the deleted scenes that helped them discover Anna’s personality. Though the scene was likely cut to solidify the distance between Anna and Elsa (Idina Menzel), it’s a fun exchange between the two sisters. Watch it here:

Frozen will be released in HD Digital on February 25th, and on Blu-Ray March 18th. What do you think of the deleted scenes? Is there anything you wish there had been more of? Sound off in the comments below!
