Two Evil Queens Unite in THE HUNTSMAN: WINTER’S WAR Trailer

Imagine if someone made a movie with three of the most kickass women in Hollywood. It’s happened! The Huntsman: Winter’s War features Jessica Chastain, Emily Blunt, and Charlize Theron as they share the screen for the first time. Oh… and Chris Hemsworth’s in it too, as the title character.

The Huntsman: Winter’s War is the sequel (and partially a prequel) to the 2012 movie, Snow White and the Huntsman. Kristen Stewart’s Snow White is sitting out of this film, but the repercussions of her victory over Queen Ravenna (Theron) are only beginning to play out. Here’s a tip for all fantasy heroes and heroines: when vanquishing the villain, make sure that they don’t have evil siblings who will do anything to resurrect them!

Case in point, Queen Freya (Blunt), a.k.a. the Ice Queen. She’s no Elsa! When Freya learns of her sister’s demise at Snow White’s hands, she steals the Magic Mirror and brings Ravenna back to the world of the living. And while Snow White may be beyond their reach, Eric the Huntsman (Hemsworth) is not!

The Huntsman: Winter’s War also explores the backstory of Eric, as he and Sara (Chastain) once served under the command of Queen Freya. They were her finest warriors, but they defied the Ice Queen when they fell in love. Now, only Eric and Sara can stop the dual reign of the evil queens…if they can find their way back to each other.

Cedric Nicolas-Troyan directed The Huntsman Winter’s War, which will be released on April 22, 2016.
