Twitch Backs Game Driven By Twitch Chat

With just four days to go and only half of its $30,000 funding goal reached in its Kickstarter campaign, Studio Bean’s side-scrolling dungeon crawler Choice Chamber got a little help in matching funds from Twitch. That works out for Twitch, since Choice Chamber is a game which, in its online mode, is driven by Twitch chat.

While it can be played offline, Choice Chamber is designed to be live-streamed on Twitch, with viewers chatting and voting on elements which will appear in the game’s procedurally-generated dungeons. These include special events, resources, and even attacks against the game’s bosses, according to the campaign. The developer explains, “Chatters can band together to help out the main player in getting far in the game, or they can work against the player and create a devilish challenge.”

Choice Chamber creator Michael Molinari will be participating in a Reddit AMA on April 20th to talk about this and previous Studio Bean titles.
