TV-Cap: Watch the SUPERGIRL and THE FLASH Crossover Trailer

I don’t know about you, but I’m easing into Wednesday. Slowly. Perusing television news is helping me, so in case it will help you as well, dive into today’s TV-Cap. We have a trailer for the Supergirl/Flash crossover, an update on who will play The Tick in the new Amazon series, word about a rad Gilmore Girls cameo, and more.

Keeping Up. Next Monday, March 28, sees The CW’s Flash coming to CBS’ Supergirl. Isn’t that basically the best? A tease for “World’s Finest” shows Kara and Barry getting acquainted and having a race, and I can’t even. Why are they both so endearing? They’d better not have a competition to decide who’s more charming because it would be a wash. [Nerdist]

A Different Mother Daughter. Mae Whitman played Lauren Graham’s daughter on Parenthood, and she’s going to be dropping by Stars Hollow for Netflix’s Gilmore Girls revival. Whitman will have a quick cameo and her character will share her moment on screen with Lorelai. And hey, if you want to know everything there is to know about that revival, I have you covered with this handy guide. [TVLine]

A Good Deal Gets Better. BBC America’s Dirk Gently series based upon characters created by Douglas Adams just got better. Why, you ask? Elijah Wood has been cast in a leading role. He’ll play Todd. The character isn’t exactly good, but he’s on his way there. [Nerdist]

Every Connection. If you haven’t seen all of season two of Daredevil, move along. If you have, then turn your eyes to this video from Mr. Sunday Movies that breaks down tons of references to the comic books and Easter eggs and everything in between. There are more than a few. [Nerdist]

While We’re in Hell’s Kitchen… Speaking of Daredevil and connections, how about how Jessica Jones might be involved in carrying threads introduced in Daredevil’s second season? Again, spoilers follow if you’re not caught up. Daredevil showrunners Marco Ramirez and Doug Petrie talked to The Hollywood Reporter and regarding a certain appearance from a Jessica Jones character, Petrie said, “We’ve noticed that with our fans, with Easter eggs and crossovers a little goes a long way. Those worlds will definitely be overlapping and we’re threading them in as slowly and as carefully as we can weave them.” [ComicsAlliance]

To Mystic Falls, We Go. The Originals and The Vampire Diaries recently crossed over, and they’ll be doing so again on April 8. Elijah and Finn will visit Mystic Falls and run into good ol’ Matt Donovan. The Originals episode is directed by Joseph Morgan (Klaus). [TVLine]

Next Best Choice. Patrick Warburton couldn’t reprise his role as The Tick in Amazon’s upcoming reboot of the live-action series, but it’s okay—Amazon found someone else suitable. They’ve cast Peter Serafinowicz. Yep, you read that right. He’s an absolutely perfect choice, no? [Nerdist]

Heroes Everywhere. Tuesday night was a night of comic book TV, as more than one night is now. A female speedster came to The Flash; read Joseph’s recap of “Trajectory.” Last night’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. set up Marvel’s Most Wanted, and Joseph has a recap of that too. Finally, I’m still plugging away at Daredevil.

What do you think of Peter Serafinowicz as the Tick? Let me know about that and anything else striking your fancy in the comments.
