TV-CAP: THE WALKING DEAD Teases Negan in New Photo

We’ve hit the middle of the week, which means a few things: it’s Wednesday (I know, I get top prizes for figuring that out), we’re not so far from the season six finale of The Walking Dead, and the season six premiere of Game of Thrones is less than a month away. Get into today’s TV-Cap to see a photo teasing Negan’s arrival in The Walking Dead, to learn about what’s happening with Sansa and Theon in Thrones, and to learn which former member of the X-Men may be starring in a spinoff of The Blacklist.

Hello, Lucille. One of the toughest characters from The Walking Dead comics is about to make his entrance on the AMC series: Negan. Played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, the ruthless and psychotic Negan will show up in the season finale. Some of our favorite characters might not make it out of Negan’s reach. [Nerdist, Image: AMC]

Backdoor Pilot. NBC has had enough success with The Blacklist that they’re trying to launch a spinoff series starring none other than Famke Janssen. She’ll appear as Susan “Scottie” Halsted in the May 5 episode, with the May 12 episode serving as a backdoor pilot. [Deadline]

Truly Lovely. Raise your hand if you watched Bunheads. I count like, five, of you… which is one of the reasons Bunheads isn’t on the air any longer. It’s an excellent but short-lived series by Amy Sherman-Palladino, and you should seek it out. For those of you who know the comedy, rejoice! Because Stacey Oristano (Truly on Bunheads) will be joining the Gilmore Girls revival in a guest-starring role. [TVLine]

Again, Again! The Supergirl/Flash crossover left many viewers craving more of Barry Allen and Kara Zor-El side by side on the same screen. I can’t get enough of the duo. Jessica Chobot tackles the crossover on Nerdist News and breaks down whether the heroes will meet again. All my limbs are crossed. [Nerdist]

Detective Found. BBC has cast the lead character in their adaptation of the Douglas Adams novel Dirk Gently. Samuel Barnett (Jupiter Ascending) will play the off-kilter detective alongside Elijah Wood. [Comic Book Resources]

Falling Into Snow. It’s not often that Game of Thrones actors give up any information about, well, anything, but Alfie Allen doesn’t care. He spoke with a group of international press and India’s NewsX quotes Allen sharing some details on what happens next with his character, Theon Greyjoy, and Sansa Stark as season six begins (that happens on April 24). If you’re fine with diving into some spoilery territory, jump right this way to get the scoop.

Keeping Secrets. Adam Savage appeared at the Silicon Valley Comic Con, and as panelists often do, he took questions from the audience. One question about a behind-the-scenes disaster on MythBusters led to Savage telling a story about a material they investigated that was easily available and dangerously explosive. Not only did they decide not to air the footage, they had it destroyed completely and swore everyone to secrecy. Learn more at about the 32-minute mark in the above video. [Nerdist]

Team-Ups and Time Travel. In the latest edition of Tuesday night TV, Barry Allen traveled back in time and caused some unfortunate problems, and Coulson put all sorts of interesting duos together. Read Joseph’s recaps of most recent episodes of The Flash and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
